Stephen Reichley serves as the associate director of the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security and principal investigator on grants under GCAHFS.

Reichley also serves as the Deputy Director of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Fish. He also works as an assistant professor at Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine Department of Pathobiology and Population Medicine. In this role, he provides support for the Gulf Coast Aquatic Health Lab and collaborations with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. He also provides diagnostic services, teaching, student mentorship, and other university and college services.

Reichley is the immediate past president of the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association and is a director-at-large for the American Association of Fish Veterinarians. He also serves on the Technical Standards Committee of the American Fisheries Society Fish Health Section. He has experience in the production of many aquatic species, numerous scientific publications related to aquatic animal health, and has given lectures and seminars throughout the world.

Prior to joining the lab, Reichley was the director of R&D and fish health for Clear Springs Foods, the largest producer of freshwater rainbow trout in the United States. His responsibilities included oversight of all R&D activities; clinical health and welfare of 45+ million fish across brood, hatchery, and grow-out operations; and oversight of the Diagnostic and Research Laboratory as well as the Water Quality and Analytical Laboratory.

Reichley received his BS from the University of Findlay, DVM from the Ohio State University, and PhD from Mississippi State University. He is a Certified Aquatic Veterinarian (CertAqV).
