Jill Hudnall serves as the Research Associate I based in Starkville for the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security (GCAHFS) and the Department of Pathobiology and Population Medicine at Mississippi State University. She provides support to faculty and staff by assisting funded research projects to support the health of marine mammals and sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico, particularly the Mississippi Sound.
Hudnall comes from a background in livestock and small animal care along with experiences in the One Health initiative and exotic animal husbandry and conservation. Additionally, she supports GCAHFS thanks to her most recent experience and training in anatomic pathology and necropsy procedures from her previous position.
Hudnall is actively pursuing her M.S. in veterinary medical science with an emphasis on wildlife conservation through MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. She holds a B.S. in animal and dairy sciences with a minor in international studies in agriculture from Mississippi State University after obtaining an A.S. with a pre-veterinary emphasis from Jones County Junior College.
